To All FIMEM National Movements
Dear Friends,
Only two weeks remain until the 36th Rencontre Internationale des Éducateurs et Éducatrices Freinet (RIDEF), which will take place from 31 July to 9 August 2026 in Gniewino, Poland.
Thanks to your experience, commitment and openness, RIDEF participants will have the opportunity to experience Freinet pedagogy in practice. We are doing everything we can to ensure that this year’s meeting is well prepared, both organizationally and educationally. There is still much work to do, but we are confident that together we will create an event that will remain in our memories for many years.
We sincerely thank each and every one of you for preparing long and short workshops, lectures and all the other programme proposals.
Participant registration has now closed. This year’s RIDEF will bring together 290 participants from 25 countries.
Among them are:
- 220 teachers and members of Freinet movements,
- 41 independent participants,
- 8 university students,
- 11 teenagers aged 13–17,
- 10 children aged 3–12.
What is already ready?
We have prepared:
- 19 long workshops,
- 23 short workshops,
- the Conference Forum,
- excursion programmes,
- workshops for children and young people.
We still need your help.
We would like to enrich the RIDEF programme even further.
We are looking for volunteers to lead:
- 5 short workshops for children and young people,
- 1 long workshop for children and young people,
- additional short workshops for teachers and university students.
If you have an idea and would like to facilitate one of these workshops, please contact the Organizing Committee at ridef@freinet.pl.
Did you declare that you would lead a workshop in the registration form?
If you indicated during registration that you would lead a workshop, please remember to complete the appropriate long workshop or short workshop proposal form. The forms are available on the RIDEF website.
If you have already submitted your workshop using the online form, please do not submit it again.
